Cultural Awareness and Allyship with Indigenous People - A Curated Resource Course - ON DEMAND

Description
Non-native people tend to think we know about Indigenous history, culture, perspectives, etc. Still, there's little credible info shared in conventional school programs, and much effort to misappropriate Native culture, art and artifacts, and bend notions of history to obscure the reality of hundreds of years of colonialism and genocide, and their enduring impact on Native individuals and peoples. The resources in this course explore what it's like to be Native in the USA, and what Indigenous and Native people are doing to preserve language, culture and natural spaces and to celebrate their unique heritage, perspectives and lived experience. We also see ideas for allyship and solidarity with Native people.

This training is eligible for 3 CEU hours, but only if you spend 3 hours on it! If you need a CEUs certificate for this course, please make sure you have indicated that you need CEUs and included your license number in your user profile info. Certificates are generally sent to the email listed in your user profile once a month.
